About Me

I'm a 40-something, liberal, feminist, activist who believes strongly in diversity. Simply put,  live and let live. I try to be a good person and practice a life of compassion, integrity and authenticity. I'm learning and growing every day. I've found that frequently, humor and laughter is the best way to get over something and a heavy dose of it on a daily basis gets me through the day.

I've never been married and have no children - one by choice and the other by happenstance.

I'm an avid biblioholic who finds solace, humor, life-altering moments, friendship and inspiration through the written word. I read a lot of romance but include a significant amount of fiction with a smattering of nonfiction. Some of my favorite authors include: Suzanne Brockmann, Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, Alice Hoffman, Pat Conroy, and Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have too many books that inspire me but some that are the cream of the crop are: anything by Richard Bach - he moves me with every word he writes, Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.

I love photography and for that reason, all of the photos you see here of nature will have been taken by me. All others will be attributed to their photographer, if I know who it is.
